Lamps. I love them. I cannot stop designing lamps.
This one uses fiber optics to deliver the light from the source within the heavy base to the delicate tip of its fiber bundle. The angle is adjusted with a plastic spring locking toggle like those used to in the drawstring of your parka.
A simple white disk leaning against a wall. A white light source bounces of the wall and the brightly painted back of the disk. A visual echo emerges.
A servo controlled mirror and a swivel base allow this lamp to project its light nearly anywhere.
Conceived as a projected interface device as part of an Office of the Future project. But still a handsome lamp.
These brass serpent lamps use a system of modular hidden hinges to allow them to twist and turn into extendable wall sconce to a table lamp.
